CityCenter Danbury’s 2015 Summer Concerts on the Green, the largest free concert series in the Northeast, promises music for every taste. His latest show, entitled “Rock and Roll Celebration” has been viewed by more than 100.000 people worldwide.

Zé Rodrigo was chosen to perform as the opening act for B.B. King’s last Brazilian tour. On November 1st, 2012, the World Sports Alliance Intergovernmental Organization (WSA), founded under the auspices of the United Nations in 2007, appointed Zé Rodrigo as Goodwill Ambassador for the “LivelyUp Music for Solidarity” project, which empowers him to travel the world over pursuing his dreams as a Brazilian, singing American classics while spreading a message of hope and happiness and delivering it to those who need it the most.

In the capacity of Goodwill Ambassador performing concerts for a good cause, Zé Rodrigo made a special appearance at the American Dream Awards Fundraising Gala presented by Tribuna Newspaper on May 16, 2015 at the Portuguese Cultural Center in Danbury, where he shared his unique talent with over 300 guests.

His 12th CD, entitled “ZERO,” features new arrangements of famous old classics such as “I’m a Believer” from Neil Diamond and “I can’t explain,” a tribute to The Who’s 50-year anniversary and new ones like “Mercy” performed by Duffy make this record a great debut for the American (and worldwide) market. His tour includes 15 countries.

“It’s my best record ever,” says Ze Rodrigo, adding, “and the first to be released in other countries, so we think it’s not the first one but number zero.”

All concerts are free of charge. The Zé Rodrigo performance will be held on Saturday, August 8. The entertainment typically begins at 7:15 p.m., with headliners starting at 8 p.m. So bring a chair, your enthusiasm, a camera and a picnic and enjoy the show!
