Members of the Lebanese community were joined by friends and families and local, state and federal officials at Danbury City Hall to celebrate the 12th Annual Lebanon-American Day on Sunday, June 28.

The traditional civic ceremony also included a special homage to former Danbury City Clerk Lori Kaback for her many years of service to the City of Danbury.

Also honored for his years of public service, and in recognition of his new position as General Counsel and Director of Legislative Affairs of the State Department of Veterans Affairs, was Danbury City Councilman Tom Saadi.

A brief and solemn wreath-placing ceremonial at the Lebanese Heritage Monument in front of City Hall was included in the program, which was followed by a traditional Lebanese luncheon catered by Hanna’s Middle East Restaurant at the Lebanon American Club on West Street in Danbury.
