Consulate Improves Social Communication

Since the new Consul General of Brazil Ambassador Fernando Mello Barreto took over the position, the Consulate General of Brazil in Hartford has been investing its efforts to get closer to the Brazilian community residing in its jurisdiction (Connecticut and Rhode Island). These efforts are intended to improve the basic services required by that community, in addition to enhancing the community’s relationship with the Citizens Council.

With these goals in mind, all the procedures applied by the Consulate to deliver its services are being carefully revised, including improvements to communication tools such as the Consulate website and Facebook page.

The goal is to simplify and make information available in both media, and to create a series of frequently asked questions tools (FAQs) to fulfill the requests of those who need to use the Consulate’s services. Customer service via telephone or email is also under revision.

While the improvements are being made, the Consulate invites the community to visit those two “windows” of information to explore all possibilities to stay informed and interact with the agency.
