The DREAMer movement has pushed the envelope with its actions and asks, from frequent and courageous civil disobedience actions to publically calling out President Obama on his ability to stop deportations.
But never have undocumented youth engaged in such direct confrontation tactics in Connecticut. Now that has changed.
CT Students for a DREAM, a statewide organization of undocumented youth and allies, is stepping up its effort to ask the Office of Higher Education and the Board of Reagents of the state university system to open up its need-based scholarships to undocumented students.
The group is pushing for equal access to institutional aid for undocumented students.
