Parents Supporting Excellence in Education (PSE) is a leadership course for parents currently under development. The twelve-week course is being designed in cooperation with the Connecticut Commission on Children, sponsors of the Parent Leadership Training Institute.

The end of January was marked by the appalling reaction of the Mayor of East Haven to allegations of racial profiling targeted at Latinos involving local police officers. By making the nowinfamous “taco” comment, the Mayor clearly demonstrated his complete lack of consideration for the Latino residents of his city.
