Danbury Food Collaborative: Coming together to help the hungry

The newly formed Danbury Food Collaborative (DFC), a group spearheaded and led by United Way of Western Connecticut (UWWC), has released A Guide to Accessing Food in Danbury to assist local residents that are in need of a meal and those who are struggling to put food on the table.

The free guide lists locations of food pantries and congregate meal sites as well as opportunities for home delivered meals, including days and times of operation and the qualifications necessary to receive these services.

The DFC was born in the spring of 2013, when UWWC began convening with members of the City
