Danbury Post Office honored by United Way of Western Connecticut for delivering 75,000 books

United Way of Western Connecticut honored the Danbury Post Office for helping deliver 75,000 FREE books to preschool children as part of the Imagination Library Program.

For those who are not familiar with the program, Imagination Library was launched by Dolly Parton in 1996 with the vision to foster a love of reading among preschool children and their families by providing them with the gift of a free, specially selected book each month. The high quality, age-appropriate books are mailed to their homes. Furthermore, the program, which is celebrating its fifth year supporting the greater Danbury community, ensures that every child can have free books, regardless of the family
