College application time is a stressful time for all students. Adding to this stress is the additional pressure of figuring out how to pay for the increasing cost of college. For low-income students there is the hope of financial aid and the promise of affordable public education. But some of our neediest students are left out and barred from this promise.
Imagine you have lived in Connecticut for most of your life, consider it your home and have hopes of going to college. Your parents work low-income jobs and you know they can
