Gov. Dannel P. Malloy invited representatives from ethnic media outlets across the state to meet at the Democratic Party headquarters in Hartford to discuss issues that concern the populations they serve and to hear what the governor has done for them during his first term.

Malloy is seeking a second term as governor. He is in a race against Republican Tom Foley, a Greenwich businessperson who is the GOP nominee for the second time in four years.

Editors, publishers and reporters from African American, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Haitian print and digital media were in attendance, representing communities that constitute the major block of minority voters in the state.
