A packed theater, wine tasting, watching an exciting concert of the most internationally successful Brazilian artist of all time, and meeting this king of Bossa Nova was part of the evening for Manuella Moreira and Regina Satsuki Colletes, the two winners of the Meet & Greet Sergio Mendes promotional ticket offered to Tribuna’s first readers to post their picture holding a copy of the latest issue of the newspaper on our Facebook page.

Producer, composer, keyboardist and vocalist, Grammy® Award winner and a two-time Latin Grammy® Award winner Sergio Mendes took the audience at The Ridgefield Playhouse on a musical trek from the mid-1960s to the late 1970s, when he established his legend by taking numerous albums and singles, such as “Brasil 66,” “Mas Que Nada” and “The Look of Love,” to the top of the pop charts.

“Thank you to Tribuna Newspaper for an awesome night!” said Manuella Moreira after her meet and greet moment with Sergio Mendes.

The Mendes concert was part of the 109 Cheese and Wine Evening of Art, Wine and Jazz Series and the Palm Bay International World Beat Series.

On Feb. 11, Tribuna is offering the same promotion in partnership with The Ridgefield Playhouse for Bebel Gilberto’s concert. The first two readers to post their photo holding a copy of the latest edition of Tribuna on our Facebook page will win a meet-and-greet ticket to see Bebel, world-renowned, multi-Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, at the Ridgefield Playhouse with a complimentary wine tasting, courtesy of Palm Bay International, and a complimentary Brazilian hors d’oeuvres tasting, courtesy of Tribuna Newspaper.

The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not for profit 501 (c)(3) whose mission is to present a variety of performing arts to the community and the surrounding area that they can enjoy and experience at a varied price point.
