Supporting the Transitional Living Program Realizing that homelessness is the result of a variety of issues, and each situation is unique, five area churches recognized an unmet need in the New York/Connecticut area. To help homeless families move into permanent housing and improve their lives, they came and founded The Amos House program. They established the programin 1986, and since then, they have counted on the generosity of volunteers and donations to continue providing a residential facility in Danbury that is adaptable for families of various sizes. In this spirit, The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation awarded Amos House a $2,500 grant on January 13. The grant will be used to support the Transitional Living Program. |
