flawless look is worth the possible damage to their natural nails - for others, maintaining shorter nails through weekly manicures are the only way to show off their natural, healthy nails.
But a local nail spa is blurring the lines of this divide - one finger tip at a time. Angel
Tips, a full-service nail spa located at One Padanaram Road in Danbury, opened last fall, offering a full range of nail services, as well as waxing and massages. But the salon has become widely popular in the Latino community for featuring an innovative manicure that lasts up to 6 months with beautiful white French tips. How is such a beauty miracle accomplished?Angel Tips uses a product called CND's Brisa Gel. It doesn't chip, and it remains incredibly glossy. There's virtually zero chance of damage to your nails; in fact, it helps maintain the health of your natural nail underneath and boosts growth. Brisa Gel is also amazingly cost-effective; just $65 for the first application that lasts for 6 months, with "fill-ins" every 2-3 weeks, which cost $35. "Two coats of the soft gel are applied, just like nail polish, and are set for two short minutes under a UV light. It comes in three colors: clear, cool pink, and warm pink, all of which deliver a high-shine natural look," explained spa manager Andy Chen, who has been in nail care industry for 10 years. And to remove the tips,

it's simple. Simply soak a cotton ball in pure acetone, place it over the nail, and wrap each fingertip with foil. After 10 minutes, the gel is soft enough to be wiped off - voila - damage free nails!"I clean houses. Regular manicures never lasted. I needed to get them done every single week. Now with the gel manicure, sometimes I can go 3 weeks without a manicure and my nails still look great with a perfect French tip!," said Luciana Pereira, who comes from Waterbury to get her nails done at Angel Tips. According to Pereira the Brisa Gel manicure is not the only reason why Angel tips is worth the drive. "The customer service here is simple excellent. They offer you soft drinks and give you a complemen- tary shoulder massage as your nails dry - I totally feel pampered!"So if you have been looking for the best of both worlds - the durability and flawless looks of artificial nails, and the natural appearance and health of your own nails - Angel Tips has it all. And don't forget to try out the Spa Pedicure, an experience well worth the extra time and dollars. Having your feet tended to, with the added bonus of sea weed wraps and a leg and foot hot stone massage, is absolutely magnificent.
