Gabriela Bacelar Nunes' Christening

Ricardo and Elizabeth Nunes with daughter Gabriela "I present Gabriela Bacelar Nunes to receive the Sacrament of Baptism," said Father Bob Godley of the Parish Church of Saint Barnabas in the Village of Ardsley, New York on Sunday, September 13.

Family members and friends gathered on that morning to witness this little life become filled with special blessings from above and filled her Christening day with great love.

Born on November 25, 2008, to Elizabeth Bacelar Nunes and Ricardo Nunes, Gabriela is the first child, grandchild and niece in their family, coming into the world after seven years of marriage. Little Gabi, as the family loves to call her, was water born after long hours of labor, which was described by her mother Elizabeth as an amazing experience and the gentlest of births.

A baby is the beginning of all things - representing wonder, hope and dreams of possibility. May God bless sweet Gabriela who was brought into His presence to be baptized. May He teach those precious little feet to follow in His path so she may grow in truth and love and transform her dreams into reality.
