Juliana Zalfa of Bridgeport won the title of Miss Brazil USA-CT 2009 Juliana Zalfa of Bridgeport won the title of Miss Brazil USA-CT 2009 the evening, with over 250 guests elegantly dressed accommodated in their seats to enjoy a spectacle of Brazilian beauty - Miss Brazil USACT pageant.

The organizer, Mara Palmieri, Regional Manager and columnist for the Brazilian Times, put forth great efforts, and they were not shy. She really offered a wonderful evening of entertainment, with the help of her children Amanda and Bernardo Borges.

"I couldn't be any happier. The guests look beautiful, so elegant," said Palmieri, touched by the tremendous support she received from the local community and area businesses.

Cacá Santos, CEO of the Miss Brazil USA in New Jersey, also attended the event, with his professional crew of photographer and videographer to register the moment.

Choreography was arranged by talented Carlos Alberto, known as Chileno.

Juliana Zalfa of Bridgeport won the title of Miss Brazil USA-CT 2009. Laura Lobo, of Danbury, took home second place and Nara Naulaf, of Bridgeport, third place.

The awards for first-place included $1,000 donated by DeCastro Salon & SPA, who did the hairstyling and make up for the Danbury candidates, as well as 18K jewelry, donated by Boutique Europa in Bridgeport. The second place award was a laptop computer, offered by Ronildo's Market in Danbury, and the third, a digital camera donated by Camila Coelho Insurance. All the three winners also received a special gift from the cosmetic company known worldwide - O Boticário.

Contestant Luíza Trebesqui won Miss Photogenic 2009. She will be awarded the title on November 12 in Stamford. She was chosen among all candidates to be photographed by the internationally acclaimed John Casablancas Modeling Agency.

The winners will participate in the final competition for the title of Miss Brazil USA on November 18, 19, 20 and 21 at the Robert Treat Hotel in New Jersey.

The final competition for the Miss Brazil Mirim USA title will be held on November 22, when Palmieri will be presenting all the past winners of the Connecticut edition of the Miss Brazil Mirim USA.
