2009 Tellebration! Storytelling event

If you have some time to stop by the Danbury Public Library on Saturday, November 21 at 1:00pm, you will join thousands of storytelling enthusiasts all around the world at the fourth annual observance of Tellebration!, which is traditionally observed at sites around the world on the weekend before Thanksgiving. Carrie Sue Ayvar, from North Miami Beach, Florida, will be the featured storyteller. Ms Ayvar is a third generation bilingual (English-Spanish) storyteller who has performed for both children and adults in schools, museums, festivals and conferences throughout the United States. Blending traditional, international and personal tales, she takes her listeners on a journey into the imagination of connecting people, languages and cultures through her stories that flow effortlessly between Spanish and English.

This year's local Tellebration! event is again coordinated by Danbury resident and storyteller Bert MacCarry and is open to story lovers of all ages - free of charge!
