Helping victims find a ‘Safe Haven’

The Martial Arts Club of Naugatuck Valley Community College recently donated a check for $400.00 to Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury.

Safe Haven is an organization that provides emergency shelter and free comprehensive support services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, a problem that affects millions of women, men, children and families.The money was raised earlier this year, mainly through donations collected at a club-sponsored performance of the New York Chinese Opera Society held at the College in October.For more information and to find out how you can help visit the Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury, please visit their official website at http://www.safehavengw.org.
