Proposition “U.S.A.”: We are going to get America back on its feet!
It is time to give everyone in Connecticut a Happy New Year. We are a group of Connecticut teachers and patriots who love our beloved country and who have complete faith in the people of Connecticut to help to get our country moving again. Proposition U.S.A. is based on each of the 3.5 million people of Connecticut helping one other person. The focus groups are children, veterans, the sick and disabled, the unemployed and the elderly.
Everyone has something to contribute!
For example: teach a child to read; organize a community garden; give someone an apprenticeship; organize a food drive; teach someone English; give a child an instrument; organize a neighborhood group; give someone a job; organize a book drive; help farmers; support the arts; organize a town database to help others in need; teach a child a new sport; organize a program to help veterans; support a small business; mentor a student; organize a literacy program; donate school supplies; share a hobby; organize a neighborhood cleanup; help someone disabled… Be kind to someone!
Our 20 goals are: to develop every child in Connecticut to his or her fullest potential; to teach every child in Connecticut how to read; to teach every child in Connecticut how to play a musical instrument; to teach every child in Connecticut a second language; to teach every child in Connecticut a new sport; to teach every child in Connecticut English; to teach every adult in Connecticut how to read; to teach every adult in Connecticut English; to achieve a 100% high school graduation rate; to achieve a 0% teenage pregnancy rate; to develop a mentoring program for students; to develop a 24-hour jobs hotline for Connecticut residents; to develop a hotline for Connecticut taxpayers; to reduce taxes on small business owners to avoid bankruptcy; to reduce taxes on homeowners to avoid foreclosure; to make Connecticut the cleanest state to live in; to make Connecticut the safest state to live in; to insure the well being of all Connecticut veterans; to ensure any child born in Connecticut has parent(s) that are legally responsible to support the child for 18 years, and to give all Connecticut residents hope.
