Let us be a beacon of hope shining toward the people of Haiti
     In my last editorial about global warming, I discussed nature’s reaction toward humanity’s inappropriate exploitation of its resources. Last week, the tragic earthquake that devastated the island of Haiti showed the world once again the urgent need for us to seek peace with Mother Nature by drastically changing our behavior.

Sejamos um farol de esperança brilhando em direção ao povo do Haiti
     Em meu último editorial sobre o aquecimento global, salientei a reação da natureza em relação à agressividade do homem ao explorar indevidamente seus recursos. Na última semana, a tragédia do terremoto na ilha do Haiti mostrou-nos mais uma vez a urgência de darmos trégua à Mãe Natureza, mudando drasticamente nosso comportamento.
