Congressional Art Competition for High School students
      Connecticut high school students are invited to participate in the Congressional Art Competition, a nationwide art competition and exhibition conducted by members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Selected artwork will be displayed in an exhibition at Beacon Hall on the campus of Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport from May 15-17.

Union Savings Bank donates $2,500 to Connecticut Ballet
      Union Savings Bank recently awarded the Connecticut Ballet $2,500 in support of dance programs through its Danbury Dance Initiative. Those funds were matched by the community during the ballet’s annual benefit performance for the Khalda Logan Dance Scholarships, held on March 28 at Broadview Middle School in Danbury.

Danbury Judge elected to Probate Assembly Budget Committee
      Danbury Probate Judge Dianne E. Yamin was elected to the Budget Committee of the Connecticut Probate Assembly at the Assembly’s annual meeting on April 7. Judge Yamin served as President Judge of the Connecticut Probate Assembly from 2006 until April of 2008.
