PREVENTING ICE DAMMING

Although the heavy snowstorms we encountered in mid-December have given way to spring-like temperatures and accompanying rains, we were abruptly reminded of the specific dangers and concerns that come with the colder months in New England. As we saw with the heavy snow of 2011, snow accumulation on rooftops can lead to ice damming and the significant damage that can follow.
