The Connecticut General Assembly’s Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission (LPRAC) will hold a Public Hearing about Bilingual Education in Connecticut on Wednesday, January 29 starting at 3 until 8 p.m. in Room 1A of the Legislative Office Building (LOB) in Hartford. The goal of this hearing is to listen to all stakeholders about a broad range of bilingual education issues within current tendencies in Connecticut to allow schools to offer alternatives to bilingual education.
Twenty copies of any proposed testimony will be required one hour prior to the start of the hearing. Speaker sign-up will also take place one hour prior to the start of the hearing and speakers will be limited to three minutes of testimony. All public hearing testimony, both written and spoken, is public information. As such, it will be made available on the LPRAC website and indexed by internet search engines.
