Formerly Jasmine’s, the student-run restaurant at Henry Abbott Technical High School that is part of the Connecticut Technical High School System’s culinary arts program, now has a new face and a new name – Thyme Café.

Henry Abbott students were joined by dignitaries, school faculty and community members on Monday, June 6, for a special luncheon at the newly renovated restaurant. The restaurant has been renamed Thyme Cafe to honor Henry Abbott, a watchmaker who invented the calculagraph. The work was done by the carpentry, electrical and plumbing career technologies.

Thyme Café is open during the school year from 10:45 am to 12:30 pm. It is located on the Henry Abbott school grounds at 21 Hayestown Ave, Danbury, CT.
