“Immigration reform,”…”When do you want it?”…”NOW!”
This was the rallying chant echoed all over the nation on April 9 and 10 as hundreds of thousands of people rallied for immigration reform all over the country as part of the national day of action. Over 100,000 people marched in DC on April 10. Their chants were echoed right here in Connecticut as the CT Immigrant Rights Alliance (a coalition of over 20 different organizations) organized five marches in Danbury, Bridgeport, Stamford, Hartford and New Haven.
The marches were targeted to push Congress to enact immigration reform with a path to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country.
