Fifteen years ago, I founded the Tribuna Newspaper together with my daughter Elizabeth Bacelar-Nunes. Our goal was to build a bridge between communities of different ethnicities while providing them with access to news and information about the state and cities our readers called home, breaking the language barrier by publishing in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
The many challenges and battles I faced often made me feel like a lonely warrior, counting only on the support of my family. Nevertheless, my faith in God always inspired me to move forward.
