“Ending 2015, ‘the sky is the limit!’ I am grateful for my business, Punchthesky Fitness, known as a ‘happy place’ where I deliver what I love most, my passion for Zumba dancing. Because I treasure my own family, I have been blessed to gain friends who are family, from the unity shared in my classes. Good health through fitness is a goal I wish for all. I am grateful for all that my business has provided me. Wishing all a wonderful and blessed holiday!”

“I am grateful for having the opportunity to work on the Ganim mayoral campaign, where working with the team resulted in a landslide WIN. By scheduling, canvassing, event fundraising, etc., I had to balance family, work and school. However, I have years of involvement in the Latino community, and because I saw Ganim’s vision for the people of Bridgeport, I felt strong about being instrumental in his campaign. Now I look forward with pride, because my hard work paid off!”

“Happy people remember the past with gratitude; they are content with the present and unafraid of the future. Therefore, gratefulness is not only an attitude in the face of what life offers us but rather a life style, which builds the foundation for happiness. This year, I learned to be grateful to everyone, for everything and anything. I would like to express my appreciation for the community, believing that 2016 will be a phenomenal year! Thank you once again!”

“Three years ago, my best friend suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning in her home. After being in a coma, she left the hospital but had no family, nowhere to go. I took care of her for three months and brought her back to her family in Brazil. I filed a lawsuit against her property owner for negligence. She received compensation, which will help with her treatment for the rest of her life. I am grateful to God for that!”

“I have a lot to be grateful for. Out of all the things that happened in my life, it was this year that I achieved my dream of starting my own insurance agency. I am very grateful for the way the community embraced me, even more for the support and respect of my family, friends, staff and customers.

May 2016 be filled with optimism, peace, health, solidarity and prosperity for all. Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!”

“I am grateful for freedom, which gave me a wonderful family and life, possible due to the military men and women who have preserved this nation for 240 years. It was freedom my relatives and those of my wife sought when immigrating from Lebanon, Italy and Portugal, some seeking freedom from poverty, others from war and starvation or the freedom simply to live a better life. Freedom has given me a wonderful family and life for which I am eternally grateful.”
