In It Together: Couples Support Group

By Tribuna Staff

Facing cancer can place emotional strain on both individuals and their relationships. In It Together is a couple’s support group designed for partners navigating cancer when one person has been diagnosed. Whether the diagnosis is recent, treatment is ongoing, or recovery is underway, this group offers a supportive and understanding space for couples to connect and heal together.

Led by licensed psychologist Karen Sherman, PsyD, the group meets virtually via Zoom on the first and third Mondays of each month, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sessions focus on open communication, emotional support, and recognizing each partner’s needs while strengthening the couple’s bond during a challenging journey.

The group is offered through Ann’s Place, whose mission is to provide comfort, support, and resources to people living with cancer and their loved ones. Ann’s Place offers services in person, virtually, or by phone to ensure accessibility for all clients.
